WBMS Reading Club
Sponsor: Ms. Walters
Description: Our club participates in the Jr. Tome Society. We are given books to read for the year and General Club has opportunities to participate in Fall and Spring Competitions. Competition Team has 3 on line exam competitions during the year. At meetings we will discuss books and hear from authors. |
Chess ClubSponsors: Mr. Cooke and Mr. Houghton
Description: The chess club's purpose is to play chess, to learn chess, and enjoy chess. Beginners to advanced are welcome. We'll learn opening principles, middle game strategies & tactics, and endgames. Club members will develop the necessary skills for playing in tournaments. |

Description: Team-Building Exercises, Fund-Raising for Charities, Business-based competitions both locally and through FBLA, as well as Leadership Strategies |
Academic TeamSponsors: Ms. Wood, Mr. Bernhardt, and Ms. Jones
Description: The Academic Team is a competitive team with a scholarly focus. Students are challenged with questions in the arts, math, science, literature, current events, history, and trivia. Academic Team practices with a buzzer system (like Jeopardy). Students try to beat other students to buzz in the fastest with the correct answer. |
Library STREAM CouncilSponsor: Ms. Brown
Description: Support and promote reading and makerspace activities and programs. Provide feedback on media center policies, collection development, and programming. Examples from previous years include Banned Books Week, Public Library Card Sign-up, eBook and digital audiobook promotion, Family Literacy Night, 3D printer, Keva plank challenges, Cue robot mazes, and more. |
Chinese ClubSponsors: Ms. He and Ms. Liming
Description: We are going to learn about Chinese culture through music, food, Tai Chi, and art/crafts throughout the year. |
Science OlympiadSponsor: Ms. Okenica
Description: Science Olympiad is an American team competition in which students compete in 23 events pertaining to various scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. During our time together at WBMS, we will decide on our projects and create them! |
Chinese Yo-Yo ClubSponsor: Ms. He
Description: Please bring your own Chinese Yo-Yo (diablo) to practice basic tricks and skills. We are going to perform on stage for WBMS Talent Show and International Festival. |
Webb Bridge EquestriansSponsor: Ms. Levesque
Description: We will enjoy learning more about riding and caring for horses through monthly group lessons with Ava Rosario in Canton, GA. All levels are welcome! |
Jazz BandSponsor: Mr. Stroud
Description: Membership is open to select instruments in 7th and 8th Grade Band. Advanced 6th Grade Students may also participate in this ensemble. |

Description: The purpose of the WBMS Jr. Beta Club is to promote leadership, integrity and good citizenship at WBMS. Students are approved for membership because of their worthy character, creditable achievement, and commendable attitude. The membership of this organization is made up of students in grades 6th through 8th. |

Description: This is a very informal club that allows students to spend some time at school playing music together on the guitar. A chance to jam with your friends! |

Description: FCA is a Christian group that discusses our place as middle schoolers and how we can keep our faith during this trying time. We have guest speakers, play games, have discussions and EAT! Breakfast is always served. |

Description: 8th Student Leaders who help lead by example and help 6th graders transition to middle school. |
Student CouncilSponsors: Ms. Carmichael and Ms. Desrosiers
Description: Student Council is composed of students who represent the student body in planning and sponsoring student activities. The Student Council makes recommendations that will be considered by the faculty and administration. Activities may include community service, fundraisers, and various student-centered activities. Every month the students will work on coming up with ideas to either help the school. or the community. |
Debate ClubSponsor: Ms. Bezbradica
Description: Ivy Bridge Academy After-School Debate Programs provide an interactive learning environment that is both fun and educational. Our aim is to prepare students for regional tournaments, high school and college debate teams and future careers. |

Description: Competition with math emphasis in meetings and practices; we will follow MathCounts curriculum as well as practice with retired materials from other competitions. Math Olympiad and Perennial Math contests. |

The Goldfish ClubSponsor: Ms. Wilson and Ms. Ward
The Goldfish Club is a Girl Scout sponsored club that focuses on socialization skills in a fun setting. We meet once a month after school to play games, do art activities, and have a snack of Goldfish. This club will help students with their social skills, learn to make new friends, feel more comfortable in a group gathering, and improve their confidence. |
